Ring 💍 Carborundum 💎
Material found in small quantities in some types of meteorites has been found for the first time within the Diablo Canyon meteorite that fell in Arizona. It is very rare on Earth, silicon carbide (moissanite) in space forms an interstellar dust that is found near carbon-rich stars and is supposed to form the mantle of planets.
Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 9.8
(diamond is 10).
